In spite of rather damp conditions, this was an enjoyable occasion, made jollier by the multi-coloured bunting which Mr. Wrathall had, at risk of life and limb, hung around the little building! Many of those involved were present, including the Mayor’s deputy, John Bateson, and representatives from the Neighbourhood Forum, Fellside Forum, NPC Northwest, the Gannett Foundation, SLDC and local residents. Mr. Wrathall thanked all those who had funded and supported the work, and carried it out to such a successful conclusion. Afterwards, coffee and biscuits and a time to chat were enjoyed at the Rifleman’s Arms.
