Kendal Museum and Kendal College

The Civic Society continues it's support of the Kendal Museum. Kendal College now had the funding to re-roof and restore Castle Dairy, which it is hoped will become a showcase for student’s work and a patisserie and could prove a welcome asset for Museum visitors in need of refreshment. Free entrance was granted to all adults (children already get in free) in the summer, initially until September 2nd but now extended to Christmas due to it's great success, with large numbers coming and the Museum alive with adults and children enjoying themselves.

Kendal Museum - Help Required

Kendal Museum is still very much alive. Some of the College’s proposals have been modified and the Museum is no longer under dire threat. The Support Group continues its invaluable assistance but some members can no longer help through illness, etc. If you want to help the Museum, send your name and address to Arthur Nicholls, 9 Killington Drive, Kendal LA9 7NY. He will be only too pleased to give you information about how you can join and help.
