Planning Application SL/2008/1087 and SL/2008/1089
This application is for change of use of the Lodge back to a private four-bedroomed dwelling, and various demolitions and new erections in the grounds.
Beezon Lodge is a fine Webster house sitting like a grand hen surrounded by several chickens in the form of modern utilitarian buildings in its grounds. Members noted some had ‘planning already approved’ marked on them and wondered when this approval was granted, as none of us had ever seen a previous application. Further information will be sought, along with a request that this Webster house and its ancillary buildings be given sensitive treatment otherwise all the ambience of this once grand house will be lost altogether.
