MONDAY 30th OCTOBER 2017
IN ST. THOMAS’S CHURCH, KENDAL
This is always a happy evening to hear the latest activities of the
Society, to enjoy refreshments and meet old friends - and by
A third evening of old films of Kendal and district. If you missed
the two previous showings, make sure you can come!
(There is plenty of parking at County Hall opposite the church)
February 2017: A note from our Secretary
In the last six months the Society has been as busy as ever with our share of achievements and disappointments.
The Executive Committee meets monthly and there is always a very full Agenda. We review current planning applications and respond accordingly, with approval or objections - usually to the scourge of UPVC windows and doors in Historic buildings in the Conservation Area!
Our members lead Guided Walks for groups of all ages and are asked to speak to meetings, all of which are greatly appreciated. We are frequently consulted for information and suggestions. The requests for plaques seems never-ending, but we are often told how much people enjoy reading them.
Please put the dates of the AGM and the Members’ Evening in your diary and come along to what are always enjoyable occasions.
